A learning or education plan is a term that refers to a document (possibly electronic or interactive) that is used to track the progress of a student's learning over time. A learning plan can be created by any organization or individual. An organizational level plan can be the sum of its individual plans or it can provide information on the organization's emerging learning needs. A good learning plan is a well-articulated document that comprises a set of key components. This includes a set of 'learning goals' that an individual (or organization) aspires to achieve over a specified time span. It's also helpful to break down bigger goals into smaller, more realistic sub-goals that can be accomplished in a matter of weeks or months. Each learning goal (or sub-goal) should be accompanied by a set of specific steps or actions that the individual will take to achieve the goal. Actual activities should be the focus of actions. An action is something like writing a good blog post. Each behavior should be accompanied by one or more resources as well as supporting evidence.
